Zero Renton Prefect

How do I become
a Dreamland Fan?

Oh, don't get a tattoo!

Hello there. names Zero Renton Prefect (legally changed it) I am a 28 year old queer punk movie geek and I have a story to tell. So the story begins a few years ago. We rented "Serial mom" on VHS and my step dad made me and my siblings leave the house right when the sex scene came on. So I spent years wondering what it was that was so bad about this flick I was forced to go participate in some recreational type of activities outside on a warm day (I mean the tv wasn't outside). So I rented it and I fell in love. That was the start of be viewing the cinema as an art form. Art is supposed to get some sort of response, and for my stepfather that day it did, thereby showing how effective it was (he didn't turn the movie off mind you. It was so bad he sent us out but kept watching it).

His movies have taught me to just view the world differently in the sense that it's a big world where absurd over the top things happen (especially in Los Angeles where I have spent my whole life). So years later (yes I was inspired by Cecil B. Demented) I had him sign my arm at a book signing at "Book soup." I told him I planned on getting his signature tatted and he said (in that John Waters way) "Oh don't get a tattoo" so I sped down Sunset blvd at top speed to a tattoo shop in hollywood and got it tatted. I saw him a few years later again ("Date with John Waters" cd release) and I showed him my tattoo. And as I write this I am watching Divine rip the car door off a vehicle in "Polyester" I owe him a lot of thanks because you can't see things like that on PBS.
